My sorority had an Easter egg hunt for the kids from St. John the Baptist. This experience was so rewarding for me. The kids ran around the great lawn and grabbed the eggs. Seeing their faces light up when they cracked open the eggs and found candy put a huge smile on my face and warmed my heart. After, one of the sisters dressed up in an Easter bunny costume. The kids went absolutely crazy. Some of them had never gotten the chance to see an Easter bunny and so being able to see their faces see the bunny for the first time was so amazing. Their smiles were huge and their faces lit up so much it was like someone had handed them millions of dollars. I could not believe how grateful these kids were, it really taught me a lesson about how great I have it compared to some others.
